Graphic Iris

This is part of a group of demonstration stencils, post period works to demonstrate the materials and craft of katagami.

Dark Ground Composition — in a dark ground stencil, the page is dark and lines and forms are cut away to appear light in the printing.

Tie Bars Reinforcement — this stencil is reinforced with tie bars carved into the paper. The tie bars disappear in printing when a second stencil is used to erase the structures.
